Hi all, with the end of season finales coming from the main fall season Tv shows over the next few weeks we thought we would take a look at what can keep you going until they all return later in the year. A mix of brand new and returning shows are in abundance over the next few months but we have whittled it down to 15 must see shows (with a couple of honourable mentions on top) with the details of when they will air for you to stick in your calenders. 

American Gods – Starz: 30th April

Plot: American Gods is an American television series developed by Bryan Fuller and Michael Green for Starz, based on the novel of the same name by author Neil GaimanThe series focuses on Shadow Moon, a man serving three years in prison. With only days remaining in his sentence, Shadow is given an unexpected early release after his beloved wife Laura is killed. Shadow finds himself next to a man named Wednesday, who offers Shadow a job. Wednesday appears to be nothing but a con artist who needs Shadow as a bodyguard, but is in fact the god Odin. Wednesday is making his way across America, gathering all the old gods, who have now incorporated themselves into American life, to confront the New Gods, including Media and Technology, who grow stronger.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt Season 3 – Netflix: May 19th.

Plot: Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt follows 29-year-old Kimmy Schmidt (Kemper) as she adjusts to life in New York City after her rescue from a doomsday cult in Indiana where she and three other women were held by Reverend Richard Wayne Gary Wayne (Jon Hamm) for 15 years. Determined to be seen as something other than a victim and armed only with a positive attitude, Kimmy decides to restart her life by moving to New York City, where she quickly befriends her street-wise landlady Lillian Kaushtupper (Carol Kane), finds a roommate in struggling actor Titus Andromedon (Tituss Burgess), and gains a job as a nanny for the melancholy and out-of-touch socialite Jacqueline Voorhees (Jane Krakowski).
Twin Peaks – Showtime: 21st May

Plot: Twin Peaks is an upcoming American television series created by Mark Frost and David Lynch and a continuation of the 1990–1991 ABC series Twin Peaks. The limited series event will consist of 18 episodes, premiering on Showtime on May 21, 2017.Two episodes have been selected to be screened at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival. Little is known about the actual plot at this time.

Fear The Walking Dead Season 3 – AMC: 4th June.

Plot: As Fear the Walking Dead returns for season three, our families will be brought together in the vibrant and violent ecotone of the U.S.-Mexico border.  International lines done away with following the world’s end, our characters must attempt to rebuild not only society, but family as well. Madison (Kim Dickens) has reconnected with Travis (Cliff Curtis), her apocalyptic partner, but Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) has been fractured by her murder of Andres. Madison’s son mere miles from his mother, Nick’s (Frank Dillane) first action as a leader saw Luciana (Danay Garcia) ambushed by an American militia group — the couple escaped death, but Nick no longer feels immortal. Recovering both emotionally and physically, Strand (Colman Domingo) has his sights set on harnessing the new world’s currency, and Ofelia’s (Mercedes Mason) captivity will test her ability to survive and see if she can muster the savagery of her father.
Stitchers Season 3 – Freeform: June 5th

Plot: Stitchers follows Kirsten Clark, who has been recruited into a government agency to be “stitched” into the memories of people recently deceased to investigate murders and mysteries that otherwise would have gone unsolved. Dr. Cameron Goodkin, a brilliant neuroscientist, assists Kirsten in the secret program headed by Maggie Baptiste, a skilled covert operator. The program also includes Linus Ahluwalia, a bioelectrical engineer and communications technician. Camille, Kirsten’s roommate and a computer science grad student, is also recruited to assist Kirsten as a “stitcher”. LAPD Detective Quincy Fisher is recruited and added to the team after crossing paths with Kirsten.

Queen Of The South Season 2 – USA Network: 8th June.

Plot: Starring Alice Braga (I Am Legend), the series tells the powerful story of Teresa Mendoza (Braga), a woman who is forced to run and seek refuge in America after her drug-dealing boyfriend is unexpectedly murdered in Mexico. In the process, she teams with an unlikely figure from her past to bring down the leader of the very drug trafficking ring that has her on the run.
The Mist – Spike: 22nd June

Plot: The Mist centers around a small town family that is torn apart by a brutal crime.  As they deal with the fallout an eerie mist rolls in, suddenly cutting them off from the rest of the world, and in some cases, each other.  Family, friends and adversaries become strange bedfellows, battling the mysterious mist and its threats, fighting to maintain morality and sanity as the rules of society break down. The series will veer from Frank Darabont’s single storyline/location 2007 feature film adaptation. Spike TV’s version won’t be a remake.
Zoo Season 3 – CBS: 29th June

Plot: Violent animal attacks upon humans are occurring all over the world. Jackson Oz, an American zoologist and his Kenyan friend, Abraham, a safari guide, as well as a Los Angeles reporter, a quirky veterinary pathologist, and a French intelligence agent all seek to investigate the mysterious pandemic as the attacks become more coordinated and ferocious.

Salvation – CBS: 12th July

Plot: Only a short synopsis is available so far. An MIT grad student and a tech superstar bring a low-level Pentagon official a staggering discovery – that an asteroid is just six months away from colliding with Earth.

Game Of Thrones Season 7 – HBO: 16th July.

The seventh and final season of the most popular show on Tv returns this summer. I’m sure you all don’t need to me to put a plot synopsis up for this one.

Shooter Season 2 – USA Network 18th July

Baller Season 3 – HBO: 23rd July

Plot: Looking at the lives of former and current football players, the show follows former superstar Spencer Strasmore (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) as he gets his life on track in retirement while mentoring other current and former players through the daily grind of the business of football. Spencer is a retired football superstar who is trying to reinvent himself as a financial manager for current players in sunsoaked Miami. His inner circle includes Ricky, a talented but volatile wide receiver who seeks to balance his off-field antics with his passion for the game; Charles, a reluctantly retired lineman who’s finding it hard to adjust to civilian life; and Vernon, a player with a rookie contract, whose promise never to forget “where he came from” brings scores of hangers-on into his life, and lands him in big financial trouble. Though they’re pros when it comes to playing the game, each one has a harder time navigating life off the field.

Manhunt: Unabomber – Discovery: 1st August

Plot: Discovery’s highly anticipated new scripted series MANHUNT: UNABOMBER starring Sam Worthington and Paul Bettany tells the story of how the FBI tracked down notorious Unabomber Ted Kaczynski, told from the point of view of the FBI profiler in charge of the manhunt. FBI agent Jim “Fitz” Fitzgerald was one of the most decorated profilers in the history of the Bureau and his radical new approach to intelligence gathering ultimately brought down the Unabomber.

Marvels Defenders – Netflix: 18th August

Plot: Marvel’s The Defenders follows Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. A quartet of singular heroes with one common goal – to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together. Probably the most eagerly anticipated show of the year. Certainly for this site.

All dates shown are air dates so episodes will be available the following day or in the case of Netflix shows you will probably find episodes available the same day. You should be able to find everything in Exodus, Specto, Zen as well as Evolve, Phoenix, The Pyramid etc. 

Certainly a few shows I am looking forward to seeing start/return and should keep us all entertained until the autumn.
